A traditional holiday treat in Quebec, French meat stuffing is a savory combination of pork, beef, potatoes and warm autumnal spices.

Ingredient:

  • 3 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) reduced-sodium beef broth
  • 1/2 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoons minced chives
