Our gluten-free angel food cake mimics the original, with a quick gluten-free flour swap to make it happen.

Ingredient:

  • 1-1/2 cups large egg whites (about 10)
  • 3/4 cup plus 1/2 cup sugar, divided
  • 3/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose baking flour (without xanthan gum)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • Whipped cream and mixed fresh berries, optional
