Nothing beats your classic meat and potatoes meal. Especially when the meat is a garlic-herb sirloin and the potatoes are soft with crispy edges. The leftovers could be the beginning of a great breakfast hash with an egg tossed on top. —Julie Andrews, Rockford, Michigan

Ingredient:

  • STEAK:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 beef top sirloin steaks (6 ounces each), cubed
  • POTATOES:
  • 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, cubed
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
